H&H Outfitting guides hunters for:
All hunts are fully guided with 2 hunters per guide (2:1 ratio).
The Colorado Parks & Wildlife 4-point antler restriction (in effect since 1985) has dramatically improved bull-to-cow ratios. Hunters regularly spot 100+ shooter bulls in a single hunt. Bulls typically range 4-6 points, averaging 2.5-4 years old. Many harvest bulls scoring in the high 290s to low 300s, with several reaching 340+. It's not uncommon to see several hundred elk daily during fall hunts.
"Magical. I can't begin to express it any other way. The archery hunt of a lifetime!" - Ken Wingate, Columbia, South Carolina (2015 client)
Hunters stay in a newly constructed lodge with private bedrooms and attached guest house. Accommodations are extremely clean and comfortable. Meals are family-style and described by clients as fabulous.
H&H operates an on-site meat processing facility. Game can typically be taken home fully processed and frozen, or shipped within 1-2 weeks. This is a major differentiator—no need to worry about getting your meat home.
H&H provides detailed gear lists emphasizing layering for Colorado's unpredictable fall weather (30s to 70s, snow to sun possible). Key recommendations:
John has been hunting since childhood, growing up on a Colorado ranch used for sheep ranching and elk/mule deer operations. He's pursued trophy hunts across North America, including Alaska brown bear and Stone/Dall sheep hunts (3/4 Grand Slam). His passion for the hunt combined with deep respect for animals drives the operation's philosophy.
