Alec Henkelman opened High Country Armory after leaving the Army, combining his experience from the 82nd Airborne with formal training in gunsmithing and business. The shop operates as a full-service gunsmith facility with the infrastructure to handle serious work—paint booth, oven, and blaster on-site for professional-grade finishing.
Gunsmithing & Repairs - Safety inspections and function checks - Complete disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly - Firearm repair and parts replacement - Sight installation and adjustment - Stock repair, replacement, and refinishing - Trigger work and pull lightening
Cerakote Finishing High Country is an advanced certified Cerakote applicator. They work with standard colors and series, plus custom patterns and themed designs. They also handle production runs for manufacturers and OEMs. Prices start at $150.
FFL Transfers - Online transfers: $81 per firearm - Private party local transfers: $50 - Ships nationwide (except California) - Receives firearms from all 50 states
Firearms Training Alec is NRA-certified for basic and advanced instruction. - Level 1: Basic pistol fundamentals, safety, weapons manipulation, and CCW certification - Level 2: Advanced techniques, drawing, transitioning, tactical scenarios, and action pistol drills
