Full description and what we offer

Western Colorado Outfitters operates out of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest, focusing on GMU 62 and adjacent units. Adam Gall, the owner and outfitter, has spent nearly 50 years building this operation around elk, mule deer, mountain lion, and black bear hunts.

  • Fully guided hunts - Complete service with experienced guides
  • Self-guided drop camps - You hunt your own, they handle logistics
  • Base camp hunts - Central camp with comfort amenities
  • ATV drop camps - Popular option for accessing terrain
  • Trophy unit base camp - Use their camp as a staging point for Unit 61 and Desert Bighorn hunts

Hunts run archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons. 2025 rifle seasons at base and drop camps are booked, but archery still has openings. For next year, preference points can be reserved starting March 2025, with 1st rifle draw openings available for 2026.

"This indeed was a trip of a lifetime. The camp setup was great, we did not do without. There were showers, comfortable beds, and more than enough food for each meal." - Andy E., North Carolina

Colorado's new draw system now requires nonresidents to draw tags before booking. Adam helps step clients through the process. Leftover tags become available August 5th each year.

If you're new to Colorado's tag system, call ahead - Adam walks you through the draw process so you can reserve your spot before hunting season fills up.
