Custom Stocks Built to Your Body, Not the Other Way Around
Artizan Stock & Gunworks operates from an 8,000 sq ft workshop in Niagara Falls where master stockmakers Roger and Ethan Stempski build custom gun stocks and pistol grips one at a time. Everything is completed in-house—they don't outsource anything to third parties.
The core difference: they fit the gun to you, not you to the gun. Think of it like a custom tailored suit instead of buying off-the-rack.
The Custom Stock Process
Every stock begins with a full prototype built on your actual firearm. Here's what that means:
1. Hand impression - They take a custom mold of your grip so your palm prints transfer directly to the finished stock 2. Full prototype - Not an adjustable try-stock, but a working prototype with all proprietary bedding already built in 3. Range testing - You shoot the prototype to verify sight picture and point of impact before any expensive wood gets cut 4. Take-home trial - Shoot the prototype for a trial period before final production 5. Final fitting - Final adjustments happen at the gun club with targets shot
Every finished stock includes:
- •Cast, offset twist, and palm swell customized to your hand
- •Pistol grip with spacer and contoured exotic wood for proper trigger finger pull
- •Length of pull, pitch, and shoulder angle for maximum contact
- •Comb height and cast flow away from your face
- •Receiver bedded to reduce recoil
- •100% wood-to-metal fit
- •Two recoil pads (1" summer, ¾" winter) with quick-change hardware
- •16-20 coats of exterior catalyzed polymer finish in gloss or satin
- •Custom checkering
- •Artisan-style forend for better hand control
