Full description and what we offer
Central Connecticut Arms was founded in 2012 by Rob Pizzi Jr., a Connecticut native with U.S. Army infantry and armorer credentials who wanted to share his shooting knowledge with his local community. What started as a small operation run from his home has grown into the region's preferred firearms retailer.
Over 1,000 firearms in stock, verified by experienced staff for quality and reliability. The inventory spans manufacturers across the country, and the staff won't push you toward something you don't actually want. Their approach is simple: help you make an informed decision based on your goals, not their sales targets.
"Our primary mission is to offer personalized care and superior service to all of our customers, and to provide our community with the tools and knowledge they need to feel confident and secure owning and operating a firearm."
Veteran ownership matters here. Pizzi Jr.'s Army background translates into staff who understand firearms function, maintenance, and safety from firsthand experience. They serve everyone equally—seasoned competitors, hunters, first-time buyers, veterans, and local law enforcement—without the impersonal feel of big-box retailers.
All staff are certified experts in their field and committed to education for safe ownership. They run regular training events and maintain an active presence in the community through news, media appearances, and customer testimonials.
New facility coming soon—they're expanding beyond their current Portland location to meet growing demand.
