ELG Firearms, Service & Instruction

ELG Firearms Service & Instruction operates from East Hartford with a clear mission: teach you to handle firearms safely and know the legal requirements for ownership. Founded on what they call "The 3 C's"—Campaign, Connection, Collection—the operation combines live-fire instruction, licensing support, and a retail shop.

ELG runs multiple course types:

• •Firearm Familiarization Courses — Basic gun safety and regulations for new shooters
• •Utah Pistol Permit Course — Multi-state non-resident licensing that meets Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification standards
• •Shooting Lessons — Foundation courses for handguns, rifles, and shotguns
• •Excel Advanced Shooting Skills — Target drills and advanced practice for experienced shooters
• •Women Empowered & Family Ties — Specialized courses for specific groups

Instructors include Elbert Gray (founder and CEO, pistol instructor), Douglas Mills (retired Air Force and law enforcement, pistol instructor), Aaron Brown (pistol instructor and Jiu-Jitsu black belt), and Brian Harlow handling regulatory compliance. All instructors are certified, and the operation prioritizes making students feel safe and knowledgeable.

ELG also operates a shooting range for live-fire practice and maintains an online shop stocked with firearms and accessories. They're a Class III SOT dealer, meaning they handle NFA-regulated items (suppressors, short-barrel rifles, machine guns).
