Millstream Hunting Preserve started with a clear goal: deliver the best upland bird hunting experience in New England. Founded by Don Favry, they've been running guided hunts for nearly 30 years across terrain that ranges from level clearings to paths that work with mobility devices.
Upland Game (no license required): - Ring-necked pheasant - Bobwhite quail - Hungarian partridge - Chukar partridge
Seasonal Hunts (licenses apply): - Deer, turkey, duck, geese, rabbit, and coyote across 2,000+ acres of leased farmland
No Connecticut hunting license required for upland game—applies to residents and non-residents alike.

Both male and female guides handle hunts. Their championship German Shorthaired Pointers work the preserve, but you can bring your own dog at no extra charge. Coffee and pastry included with every hunt.

Terrain tailored to ability and mobility. Handicap-accessible paths available. Guided hunts run September 15 – March 31, seven days a week. Open to the public (no membership required).
Certified instruction monthly. Meets Connecticut State Pistol Permit requirements.
