Peter Simard is a USCCA and NRA certified firearms instructor with over 40 years of personal shooting experience and 15 years teaching others. His academy in Berlin, CT handles everything from complete beginners to experienced shooters looking to sharpen specific skills.

Connecticut Pistol Permit Class - 8-hour comprehensive course covering CT state requirements - Virtual simulator training included - Live-fire qualification at the range - Certificate issued upon completion (required for your permit application) - Cost: $30 deposit (non-refundable) + $110 cash on class day

1-on-1 and Private Group Training

After you get your permit, Simard offers personalized sessions tailored to what you need to work on. Private group classes are available for friends, family, or corporate team-building. Contact directly for custom scheduling.

Introduction to Rifle Shooting Fundamentals

Covers bolt-action rifles through AR-15s with emphasis on proper form, equipment selection, and fundamentals. 4-hour class at $175 per person. Minimum 6 students required.

Connecticut law requires live-fire training with a certified instructor to qualify for your concealed carry permit. Simard's covers this requirement and walks you through the permit application process with your local police department.
