Bell City Rifle Club

Bell City Rifle Club, Inc. is a prestigious private rifle and handgun competitive sportsman club established in 1935 and operating as a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. Located in Southington, Connecticut, the club is committed to advancing the shooting sports through safe, competitive facilities and community engagement.

Bell City operates extensive covered range facilities designed for competitive and recreational shooting:

• •Rifle Ranges: Covered 50, 100, and 200-yard rifle ranges with 40 shooting points
• •Benchrest Range: Dedicated 200-yard covered range with pits (18 shooting points) for precision shooting
• •Pistol Range: Covered 25-yard range with 30 shooting points and movable targets at 7 yards, 50 feet, and 50 yards
• •Small Bore Range: 50-foot indoor range with 6 shooting points for .22 caliber and air rifle training

• •NRA-Approved Matches: High Power rifle, Small Bore rifle, and pistol competitions
• •International Benchrest Shooters (IBS) Matches: Precision benchrest competitions
• •League Programs: Organized leagues in Benchrest, Pistol, Small Bore, and High Power disciplines
• •Marksmanship Training: Instruction and coaching to help members improve shooting skills

Bell City is dedicated to encouraging organized rifle and pistol shooting among community members with emphasis on safe firearm handling, proper care, and marksmanship excellence. The club promotes sportsmanship, self-discipline, good fellowship, and safe shooting practices.

Bell City is currently a members-only facility. New memberships are available by invitation from current members in good standing. Prospective members should become active participants in club leagues and develop relationships with current shooters before requesting sponsorship.

The club maintains an active member community with an online forum, event calendar, regular quarterly meetings, and organized work parties to maintain facilities.
