Antietam Junior Rifle Club (AJRC) is a junior shooting sports organization based in Hagerstown, Maryland, dedicated to developing advanced teenage shooters in precision rifle disciplines. The club prepares competitors for regional, state, and national competitions across multiple sanctioning bodies.
The club specializes in three primary shooting disciplines:
- •International Air Rifle - 10-meter precision air rifle shooting in standing position and 3-position format (prone, standing, kneeling)
- •3-Position Smallbore Rifle - .22 caliber rifle competition at 50 feet and 50 yards, covering all three positions
- •Air Pistol - Precision air pistol shooting at 10 meters
Beyond shooting instruction, AJRC teaches:
- •Rifle safety and proper handling
- •Sportsmanship and competition ethics
- •NRA, CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program), and USA Shooting competition rules
- •Mental discipline and focus techniques
- •Collegiate-level competition preparation
