LA Jóya Outfitters

La Jóya Outfitters operates as a family-owned guide service under special use permits with Carson National Forest, BLM lands, and New Mexico State Trust Lands. Owner Mike Córdova runs all hunts from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in north-central New Mexico, where terrain ranges from high alpine aspens and spruce meadows down to juniper and pinon flats.

• •Elk Hunts - Five-day fully outfitted hunts from 7,500 to 12,000 feet elevation. Archery season starts September, muzzleloader and rifle hunts run October through December. Guides specialize in locating and field judging big bulls.

• •Mule Deer Hunts - Five-day hunts for trophy bucks across varied terrain from mountain peaks to sagebrush flats. Archery hunts start September, muzzleloader hunts late September/early October, rifle hunts late October/early November.

• •Pronghorn Antelope - Hunts on grasslands in northeastern New Mexico and BLM Unit 50 west of the Rio Grande, known for trophy-class animals. Muzzleloader hunts run late August through season.

• •Turkey Hunts - Three-day spring hunts for Merriam turkeys in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (April 15–May 10). Two-bird state limit applies. Youth hunter rates available.
