Full description and what we offer

Annis Arms is a small, family-run gunsmithing operation focused on quality over volume. They don't cut corners—and they won't cut corners on your guns either.

  • Custom 1911 pistols - Hand-built with their signature 1-skip-4-skip cocking serrations (trademarked detail)
  • Precision bolt action rifles - Custom builds from the ground up
  • Firearms restoration - Professional refinishing and restoration work
  • Machining services - Firearms-related machining and modifications

True color case hardening coming soon—not the chemical shortcut, but actual color case hardening. Dale has the equipment, materials, and experience; just wants to perfect the process before taking outside work.

Engraving services are also in the works, with plans to offer both in-house mechanical engraving and coordination with hand engravers across the industry.

Annis Arms completed the 2023 DSSA "Caesar Rodney 1911" competition-grade pistol and is currently building the 2024 model. They're also publishing technical articles on 1911 diagnostics and function testing using data-logging accelerometers—serious gunsmith-level work.

Operating by appointment only. Limited retail inventory available (ammunition and handguns in stock), but the focus is on custom work. Due to a family health situation, they're limiting new work intake temporarily but continue to retool and develop new offerings.

  • Contact: Call 302-853-0584 to arrange an appointment, or email [email protected] (preferred due to high call volume).
