Full description and what we offer
Confidence in Arms exists because Michael, a former Green Beret and Special Forces Weapons Sergeant, wanted civilians to have the same caliber of instruction he delivered to elite military units. With 16 years at Fort Bragg (8 with the 82nd Airborne Division, 8 at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center), Michael trained soldiers on foreign weapons systems and doctrine under extreme pressure. Now he applies that same rigor to helping everyday Americans build genuine confidence in high-stress scenarios.
Guest instructor Shane brings another 20+ years of military and private security background. He's a former U.S. Army First Sergeant who personally helped establish the Army's foreign weapons course and has provided protective security for U.S. Ambassadors in Iraq and South Sudan. Both instructors maintain the discipline standards they learned in the field—no shortcuts, no excuses.
"Train hard. Carry smart. Live confident." — Their actual tagline
Each course specifies what to bring. Ammunition requirements vary by class. If you don't own a firearm, Confidence in Arms has several available—just coordinate in advance. You can stack a basic pistol with basic rifle, or combine basic and advanced courses on the same day.
Need instruction for a group? They run a Mobile Training Team with former Special Operations instructors. Minimum 5-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio on all courses.
Founded on Real Doctrine — Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security plus certifications from U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Shane is a CPR/AED certified firearms instructor with a BBA. This isn't generic CCW instruction—it's built on the actual training methodology used by the U.S. military's most specialized units.
