Kyle Thompson (Owner/Lead Instructor) brings over a decade from military contracting and law enforcement to the table. He holds: - Florida K-License Firearms Instructor certification - Rangemaster Pistol Master Award - Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor credentials - NRA Law Enforcement Pistol Instructor certification - Director of Training for NAAGA (National African American Gun Association) - Current law enforcement officer status - Multiple Rangemaster advanced certifications

Rescheduling Policy: Need to move your class? Reschedules are allowed with at least 7 days' notice. Less than 7 days notice, no-shows, or failure to attend means forfeiture of payment. Rescheduled dates are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Cover Your 6 focuses on adaptable programming that meets shooters where they are—whether you're picking up a firearm for the first time or refining an experienced skillset. The emphasis is on building strong foundational knowledge in core fundamentals and then progressing to advanced techniques. Both instructors are active law enforcement officers, bringing current real-world experience directly into training.
They're also engaged with the broader shooting community: Kyle serves as Director of Training for NAAGA (National African American Gun Association) and is a scheduled presenter for Girl and a Gun and TacCon in 2025-2026.
