Foster encourages students to bring their own firearms to class. The logic is simple: familiarity with your actual tool breeds competence and responsibility. You practice with what you'll carry or use.
Foster operates on the principle that "Chance favors the prepared mind." This isn't motivational poster language—it means consistent practice in scenarios that mirror actual situations. The goal is building muscle memory and mental readiness so you can handle pressure without freezing.
Google reviews consistently hit the same notes:

"Instructor Ed was very patient and thorough with the information. He was adamant that if he wasn't sure that you were going to be safe that he wasn't gonna give you the card." — Walt Newell
"Edward was amazing. He was intelligent, funny and thorough. I enjoyed my experience completely. I learned allot. I hadn't handled a handgun in 46 years but shot well and safely." — Joel Turner
One student came back specifically: "I can't recommend Ed more highly. Courteous, prompt, helpful," after Foster arranged an online course on a weekend plus mobile live-fire testing.
