Full description and what we offer
Southern Outdoor Outfitters operates guided hunts for Osceola turkey, alligator, duck, dove, and wild hog across South Florida. Everything happens on private land—over 100,000 acres of it—which means less hunting pressure, bigger animals, and higher success rates than public land hunts.
3-day fully guided packages: $4,500 per person (lodging and meals included)
The outfit hunts 100% wild, free-range Osceola turkeys. Their guides pre-scout for months before the season to locate birds and set up hunts. They focus on quality over quantity—fewer hunters each year means less pressure on birds and better odds for clients. You get fully guided hunts with lodging and meals included. Additional turkeys run $3,000 each.
They're fully booked for 2026 and currently taking 2027 bookings.
Pricing based on size: - 6-8 ft: $1,750 - 8-9 ft: $2,000 - 9-10 ft: $3,000 - 10-11 ft: $4,000 - 11-11'11" ft: $7,500 - 12 ft+: $12,500
Alligator hunting here works differently than public land. On private land, you can use any weapon (rifle, muzzleloader, pistol, bow, crossbow, or spear), whereas public land restricts you to bang sticks. Guides locate gators, judge size, snag them with a fishing pole and treble hook, then bring them close for the shot. You're hitting a four-inch target on a tough animal—expect to need multiple shots sometimes.
Private land means far less hunting pressure, bigger gators, and zero lottery tag requirements.
Processing runs $25 per foot and includes vacuum-sealed meat and taxidermy prep.
Morning hunts: $500 per person
Florida's early waterfowl season (Sept 20-24 for teal and wood duck, then Nov 22-30 and Dec 6-Jan 25) brings blue-winged teal, black-belly whistling ducks, mottled ducks, green-wing teal, pintails, spoonbills, and wood ducks through Florida. They hunt several private properties. Well-behaved client dogs are welcomed on most ponds.
Afternoon hunts: $200 per person (2-person minimum)
Located just outside Fort Myers with ample planted fields, their dove hunts are fast-paced and action-filled. Perfect for families or as an add-on to a hog or alligator hunt. Client dogs welcome. Dove season runs Sept 27-Oct 19, Nov 8-30, and Dec 19-Jan 31.
All hog hunts happen on private land with a guaranteed shot opportunity. Hunters can use any weapon and choose their hunting method:
You can combine methods or stick with one. They take both trophy and meat hogs.
Private Land = Bigger Animals, Less Pressure – Over 100,000 acres means no competing with thousands of public land hunters. Gators grow larger, turkeys have better odds, and you hunt alone.
