Invictus Security

Invictus Security was founded by former United States Reconnaissance Marines who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. That background shows in everything they do—precision, discipline, and real-world experience.

To work armed security in Florida, you need a Class G Security License. Invictus delivers the required 28-hour Statewide Firearms License course that qualifies you to carry .380, 9mm, .40, .45, or .38/.357 caliber firearms on duty.

They structure it as three 8-10 hour days of classroom and range instruction:

• •Legal training — Florida statutes (F.S. 493, 776, 790), negligence, liability, use of force, deadly force
• •Firearms fundamentals — Safety, marksmanship principles, loading, unloading, speed reloads, clearing malfunctions, the 4-step draw
• •Live-fire qualification — You must score 168/240 on 144 rounds to pass

Invictus instructors are all former military and law enforcement professionals who helped develop Florida's official firearms manual and serve on the state's Security Advisory Council.

They offer online classroom training (3 days of virtual instruction plus the written test), followed by 7-8 hours of range training and qualification with a live instructor. This keeps class sizes manageable while getting you trained fast.

Students who complete the G License course also receive a Florida concealed carry certificate at no extra cost.

Classes run every week, so you can start working armed security right away. Walk-ins are welcome.

They provide duty belts, magazines, speed loaders, training firearms, ear/eye protection, and targets. You need to bring or rent a semi-auto pistol (they rent for $10) and 150 rounds of ammunition for qualification. Proper clothing required—long pants, closed-toe boots, no tank tops.

Annual renewal requires a 4-hour recertification course and firearms qualification with your duty weapon. Missing it disqualifies you—you'll have to retake the full 28-hour course.
