Lakeland Rifle & Pistol Club operates 50-yard, 100-yard, and shotgun/trap ranges on their Lakeland facility at 2000 Lasso Lane. The club maintains separate range areas to accommodate different shooting disciplines and training styles.
The club runs regular competitive events across all three disciplines:
Pistol Matches - Held every second Saturday of the month - 50-yard range - All skill levels welcome - $15 minimum donation to participate - Registration by 8:45 AM
Rifle Matches - LRPC O.O.P.S. .22 caliber Benchrest Challenges (50-yard and 100-yard formats) - Syversen Rimfire Benchrest Match - ARA Rimfire Benchrest Match - ASSRA Antique Rifle Match - Polk Senior Games rifle competition
Shotgun & Trap - Shotgun League runs Thursday afternoons (2:30 PM gate open) - Trap range available for junior programs and special events
All matches are open to members and non-members. Registration typically begins 30-45 minutes before match start time.

LRPC offers comprehensive firearms training with NRA-certified instructors Peter A. Tobin and Jennifer Stanton:

- ā¢Range Orientation & Firearms Safety Class - Required for new shooters and "Blue Card" range access. Offered monthly on the second Saturday, 12 PM-4 PM. Register via [email protected] or (863) 665-0092.

Structured shooting instruction for youth with separate beginner and advanced tracks:
- ā¢Beginner Program - 50-yard range, Saturday afternoons (12:30-4:00 PM)
- ā¢Advanced Program - Trap range, Saturday mornings (9:30-11:30 AM)
- ā¢Ongoing enrollment throughout the year
- ā¢Qualified instructors provide age-appropriate training
LRPC hosts the semi-annual Central Florida Gun Show at the Sun 'n Fun Expo Campus in Lakeland. The January 2026 show features:
- ā¢Two-day event (Saturday-Sunday)
- ā¢General admission: $15 (good both days)
- ā¢LRPC members: $10 with club ID
- ā¢Children 16 and under: Free with paying adult
- ā¢Volunteer positions available
- ā¢Special legal seminars: "Florida Carry Law: A Legal Seminar for Gun Owners" ($60, presented by NRA-certified instructors)
LRPC operates as a member-driven organization with:
- ā¢General membership meetings held first Wednesday of each month (except July-August) at 7 PM
- ā¢Board meetings third Wednesday of each month at 7 PM
- ā¢Both meetings held in the LRPC Clubhouse
