Full description and what we offer
Lee County Gun Range is a comprehensive indoor firearms training facility operated by the Lee County Sheriff's Office in Fort Myers, Florida. Designed primarily for law enforcement training, the facility welcomes both public shooters and law enforcement personnel.
The Lee County Gun Range features two separate shooting ranges: - 25-Meter Range: 14 lanes dedicated to handgun (pistol) training, shared by public and law enforcement - 50-Meter Range: 22 lanes reserved exclusively for law enforcement tactical training
The facility is open to the public on a limited basis. Public shooters must: - Pass a criminal background check - Complete a mandatory Gun Range orientation - Use only the 25-meter range (handgun only) - Arrive with unloaded firearms
Beyond the shooting ranges, the facility houses: - Lee County Sheriff's Office Training Unit - Multiple classroom spaces for firearms instruction and safety training - Dual-purpose hurricane shelter capability for Lee County Mosquito Control and Sheriff's Office aircraft
Constructed to address the critical need for firearms training facilities within the law enforcement community, Lee County Gun Range has significantly improved local training opportunities and reduced costs associated with traveling to out-of-county training facilities.
The range is designed exclusively for non-toxic ammunition. All ammunition must be purchased on-site to ensure compliance with environmental standards and safety protocols. Personal ammunition is strictly prohibited.
