Ramsey Bend Hunting Club

Ramsey Bend Hunting Club has been operating since 1983 as a private membership-based hunting destination in Dixie County, Florida. Located on the outskirts of Cross City in the Nature Coast region, the club manages approximately 40,000 acres with a mix of planted pines and hardwoods ideal for multiple game species.

The club supports year-round hunting opportunities:

• •Dog Hunting and Still Hunting - The club specializes in both dog hunting and traditional still hunting methods. Members can pursue deer using their preferred technique across the diverse terrain.

• •Primitive Camping - On-site camping is available at designated campsites. A $150 yearly camper permit is required for extended use. All self-contained campers permitted.

• •Visitor Policy - Members may bring hunting guests during General Gun Season only (November 4 - January 21). One guest per day maximum, and guests must remain in close company with the sponsor member. Guest badges cost $30 per day or $100 for an annual pass. Fishing visitors permitted anytime without restrictions.

Applicants must complete a membership application and be approved by the Board of Directors' Admission Committee. New members serve a two-year probationary period.

Annual Dues Structure: - Ages 18-64: Full pay - Ages 65+: Half pay (if member for 5+ consecutive years with no other reductions) - Ages 75+: Quarter pay (if 5+ years of consecutive full-pay membership)

Dues are due May 1st annually. Late payments incur a $200 fee. Members revert to new member status if late.

Who Can Hunt on Your Membership: - Your spouse or companion - Children under 18 or still in high school - Children of active military members on official leave - Students ages 18-21 with proof of minimum 12 credit hours per semester enrollment

• •Valid Florida Hunting License required for all hunters
• •Minors under 16 cannot possess a firearm unless accompanied by an adult member age 21+
• •Minors age 16+ must complete Florida's Hunter Safety Course
• •All minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian
• •No alcoholic beverages permitted on club property
• •All vehicles must have current state license plate, insurance, and valid club validation decal on windshield

• •Gate Compliance - All gates must be locked after entering or leaving club property. A $500 fine applies to members who fail to lock gates, even if already open.

• •Property Protection - Cutting, destroying, or damaging timber, fences, gates, logging equipment, or other property results in immediate termination. Setting brush fires results in expulsion and prosecution.

• •Respect for Operations - Members must not interfere with landowners or contractors performing work such as logging, site prep, tree planting, or road maintenance. Right-of-way and caution required.

• •Garbage Management - All garbage must be deposited in designated areas or removed from club lands. Littering results in stiff fines and/or expulsion.

• •Vehicle and Camp Inspections - Any club officer or Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer may search member vehicles or camps. Refusal is grounds for expulsion.

Members are accountable for guest conduct and actions. Any guest violations are charged against the sponsor member.
