Traditional Bowhunters of Florida started with a dozen shooters meeting at a private home in summer 1990. Today, TBOF is one of Florida's most active traditional archery clubs, running competitive events and building bowhunting culture across the state.

Bowhunter Class Option: Shoot all three adult classes (Traditional, Longbow, Primitive) for separate trophies recognizing top men and women shooters competing across all divisions.
All competition shooting requires scorecards kept by two independent scorekeepers:
Group shooting requirements vary by event. Spring Championship: groups of 4-8 archers. Fall Rendezvous: groups of 3-6 archers.
TBOF depends on member volunteers for setup, registration, range monitoring, and takedown. Volunteers receive:
Volunteer roles include: - Range setup (Thursday) - Registration setup (Thursday) - Registration staff (Friday, Saturday) - Range monitors (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Miscellaneous range activities support - Takedown (Sunday after awards)
Attend the bi-yearly board meetings (6 PM Friday nights during Spring and Fall tournaments) to help shape club decisions.

Since 1996, TBOF has organized benefit shoots to provide archery equipment and scholarships for kids with cancer through the Boggy Creek Gang Camp. The annual charity shoot continues this tradition, with all proceeds supporting youth archery development across Florida.
Membership is automatic for anyone who competes in a TBOF event—you're part of the community the moment you shoot.
