Wheeler Accuracy

Wheeler Accuracy is a full-time, full-service gunsmithing operation run by Alex Wheeler. He specializes in building and tuning rifles for long-range benchrest, F-Class, and long-range hunting—all constructed to benchrest standards. His track record speaks for itself: 51 world records in long-range benchrest and F-Class competition, plus recognition from IBS, NBRSA, Williamsport, and the NRA.

Every rifle is built as a true custom. Wheeler goes through each component to ensure nothing is left on the table. His standard process includes:

Wheeler manufactures his own Long Range Benchrest stocks, available in wood laminate or fiberglass. The design evolved from input from top benchrest shooters and features:

• •Adjustable tracking rudder for perfect parallel alignment
• •Aluminum rails in the foreend to prevent bag rocking
• •4" wide, 1/2" tall foreend (legal in benchrest, controls torquing)
• •Optimal for free-recoil or holding positions
• •Full customization: weight, stiffness, carbon fiber options, any color combo

• •NBRSA world record: Charles Greer shot 2.6566" for 10 shots at 1000 yards with an LRB stock.

New low-profile LRB variant: Longer, thinner foreend with barrel positioned 1/2" closer to front bag. Already won nationals and set records in early competition.

Wheeler designed the 7-6.5PRCW (also called 7PRCW) for F-Open competition. It was built to beat the 284 in accuracy and agging ability. The cartridge gained 100+ fps over the 284 and has taken off in long-range hunting and tactical matches. It's a necked-up 6.5PRC with Wheeler's specific lead angle and base specs. Multiple die options now available from companies like ADG, Bullet Central, and Cortina Precision.

Wheeler now manufactures the original Roy Hunter 103-grain bullet using Roy's original processes. Early results include national match wins, victories at large matches like the Rendezvous, and records in long-range benchrest.
