Location details and information
Tampa Bay Sporting Clays sits on 260 acres just outside Land O' Lakes, offering serious shooting space without the drive to central Florida. This is a working range built by hunters—not a corporate outfit. The owner, Mike Mezrah, has been chairman of Ducks Unlimited's Tampa Bay chapter (ranked #1 in the state) for 12 years.
Sporting Clays Course Called "golf with a shotgun" for a reason. You move through multiple stations, each throwing clays from different angles, speeds, and distances. No two shots repeat.
Skeet Range Eight stations arranged in a half-moon pattern between two trap houses. The high house throws from 10 feet up, the low house from 3½ feet. Each round has 25 targets.
Multi-Target "Flurry" Station Eight traps on an elevated platform. You'll shoot four to six clays at once initially, then singles and doubles. Each round is 32 targets. Can also run it as a five-stand if the flurry feels overwhelming.
Olympic Bunker Trap Built into the ground on the east side. Three pre-programmed throwers (left, center, right) throw from five different stations. This setup meets international competition specs.
First-come, first-serve. No reservations needed for walk-ins. Usually no wait to get on courses, though you might wait for a golf cart. Groups of 20+ should give a heads-up.
