Full description and what we offer
Owned and operated by Jeff and Max Dixon, 2nd Chance Archery isn't a typical pro shop. Jeff brought four decades of compound archery and bowhunting experience, plus a background in customer service. Max learned beside him from childhood and earned factory certification from Hoyt Archery—thousands of hours of hands-on experience.
This is what sets them apart. Rather than the standard off-the-rack approach, Jeff developed a tiered fitting and education process that meets archers where they are. Customers describe real differences: one bowhunter initially insisted on a certain bow spec, but Max had him shoot the bow he'd originally recommended one final time. Result? Better shooting than ever before.
"Max saw me shoot and handed me a bow in a different spec and setup than what I thought I needed... He had me shoot the original bow he thought fit me better one last time and he was right, I am shooting better now than I have in my life." — Scott N.
They build arrows through a process refined by years of research and testing. Every arrow goes through rigorous testing to ensure tight tolerances across your entire quiver—the kind of consistency that matters when it counts. And yes, they can make them look good too.
Their mission is simple: No one should have to hope their setup works. At full draw, the only thought you should have is heart and lungs.
