Astoria Logistics Group LLC operates The Range in Soledad, California—a comprehensive firearms training facility and shooting range serving civilian, corporate, law enforcement, and government personnel across Monterey County and beyond.

The Range features 10 distinct shooting lanes accommodating everything from close-quarters to extreme long-range work:

Special lanes include a wheelchair-accessible Golf Lane (no charge), a private VIP Hotel Lane ($400 for up to 8 shooters, 2 hours), and a 270-degree competition lane.

Range Pricing: $30 per person all-day access; $15 for minors (no age minimum).

Both tiers cover California gun law, weapon maintenance, safety fundamentals, sight alignment, trigger control, loading/unloading, and stance work. The Advanced course adds tactical drawing, emergency reloading, one-hand shooting, multiple targets, kneeling/prone positions, and lethal-force decision-making.

Basic Shotgun and Rifle courses follow the same progression—fundamentals first, then tactical application.

Designed for first-time shooters in a non-intimidating environment. $350 for Basic Handgun Training with certification. Covers handgun safety, loading/unloading, basic manipulation, stance, firing, and California gun laws. Includes scenarios on identifying threats and lethal vs. non-lethal force.

Also offers Home Defense training (room clearing, hallway/stairway tactics, night/day searching, evacuation planning) and threat identification/self-defense courses. Space is limited; registration required.

Not your standard guard card. This specialized course trains security personnel in survival techniques through hands-on scenarios. Instruction includes hand-cuffing, take-downs, arrests, officer survival, customer service, weapons, verbal judo, baton work, self-defense, threat recognition, cover/concealment, vehicle approaches, radio codes, and building/exterior foot patrol. Can be customized for specific security companies.

Specialized tactical firearms courses for security and law enforcement only. Custom training agendas available upon request.

SWAT Training: - SWAT Basic (5-10 days): Warrior mindset, tactical firearm usage, individual movement, breaching, room/hallway/stairwell clearing, cell and team concepts - SWAT Advanced (3-5 days): Hostage rescue, barricaded gunman, covert movement, multiple entry points, CQB drills, team shooting exercises

Specialized Tactical Courses: - Tactical Commanders (5 days): Leadership, policies, incident debrief, civil liability, high-risk planning, counter-terrorism - High Risk Entry (3 days): Raid execution, pre-raid planning, operational tactics, debriefing - Tactical Operators (2 days): Individual skills, movement, rappelling, tactical trauma care, breaching, CQB - Woodland Tactics (3-5 days): Team movement, formations, counter-ambush, night/NVG operations - Ballistic Shield (2 days): Shield ballistics, approach, entry, room clearing - Breaching (3-5 days): Manual breaching tools (picks, rams, sledges), vehicle techniques, window/door breaching - Tactical Firearms Combination (3-5 days): Handgun, shotgun, SMG, carbine; CQB configuration, multiple target engagement, shooting on move - Vehicle & Linear Assault (3-5 days): Bus, train, airliner tactical operations - Riot Control Tactics (3-5 days): Mob mentality, preventive measures, movement, extraction, less-than-lethal applications - Cell Extraction (3 days): Prison/jail extraction, risk assessment, use of force, restraint tactics - Combat Tracking (5-10 days): Basic/advanced tracking in woodland, desert, urban environments
