The Fort Benning Recreational Shooting Complex serves the Columbus, GA and Fort Benning area with five distinct shooting disciplines:
Open to both military ID cardholders and the general public. Daily passes cost $18 for rifle/pistol and $15 for archery. Annual memberships run $175-$200 for individuals, $200-$250 for families.

Weapons rentals start at $10 for a single firearm and go up to $18 for unlimited multi-gun rentals. Equipment available includes:
Steel shooting costs $20/hour per lane (max 2 people).
Offered monthly, this 8-hour course ($140) includes classroom instruction, live-fire qualification, and official NRA certification. The fee covers student materials, pistol rental, ammunition, targets, PPE, and two day passes. Lunch is provided.
Lessons cover pistol knowledge, ammunition fundamentals, shooting positions, target scoring, and Fort Benning's Regulation 190-11 on privately owned firearms storage and transport.
The on-site Pro Shop stocks ammunition, targets, and shooting supplies. They're an authorized CZ-USA dealer and handle firearm transfers ($25 for military ID holders, $35 for public). Registered hunters and fishermen can validate permits during business hours.
