IDPA matches are open to the public and held on the first Sunday of each month. Registration opens at 10:45 AM with shooting beginning at 12:15 PM (after the shooter meeting). New shooters receive a safety briefing at 11:30 AM. Setup volunteers shoot for free, making it an excellent opportunity to get involved.

While matches are open to the public, membership at Cherokee Gun Club or IDPA membership is typically required for regular participation. Non-members may participate in up to three IDPA matches before membership is required. The facility is private, so range access is restricted to members and registered guests.
