Gopher Plantation

Gopher Plantation sits on 10,000 privately owned acres near Millwood, Georgia, squeezed between the Satilla River to the west and the 17 Mile River to the east. That river frontage means consistent game pressure—miles of habitat that's been micromanaged and refined for over four decades.

Deer - 8,000 acres of private land with multiple stands positioned throughout. Works for novice and experienced hunters.

Hog - Year-round hunting available. They offer spot-and-stalk preserve hunts, thermal hog hunting, and free-range stands across all 10,000 acres.

Quail - Five dedicated quail fields (up to 50 acres per course). This is the real deal—trained bird dogs pointing hidden coveys.

Turkey - Limited availability and books years in advance. March 30–May 15 season.

Diverse topography means varied habitat: pine plantations, oak ridges, Carolina bays, river flood plains, palmetto, and wiregrass ridges. Arnold Bay (200 acres) sits centrally as a refuge and feeding area. The crew plants over 200 acres of food plots annually and conducts control burns to maintain optimal habitat.
