Own Atlanta Firearms Training?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Atlanta Firearms Training is staffed by NRA-certified instructors who actually compete and train seriously. This matters—your instructor has put rounds downrange in competition, not just on a range.
Tom Mulheron brings NRA certifications across pistol, rifle, and shotgun, plus advanced training from Thunder Ranch, Defensive Training International, and OPS Surgical Speed Shooting. He's an IDPA SSP Master Combat Pistol Shooter and came to AFT through volunteer work as a range safety officer. His background in professional sales translates into customer-focused instruction.
Mark Zoghby holds NRA Distinguished Expert certification at pistol and is a curriculum development specialist. He's trained at OPS and Defensive Training International and brings structured course design to the program.
Chuck Marable, the Lead Pistol Instructor as of 2022, is a glock armorer and GSSF competitor. He went from being a student in their February 2015 Basic Pistol class to co-owner in 2025. He's trained hundreds of students.
Michelle Frank is an NRA-certified pistol instructor, range safety officer, and Girls with Guns chapter coordinator. She volunteers extensively at South River Gun Club's trap and skeet program and is developing long-range precision rifle instructor credentials.
Susan holds NRA pistol instructor, range safety officer, and Refuse to Be a Victim certifications, plus Girls with Guns coordinator role.
Instructors regularly attend advanced training courses to maintain and upgrade their qualifications.
These aren't instructors reading from a manual. Tom hit Master Combat Pistol Shooter status quickly after discovering shooting at the Atlanta Olympics. Chuck spent countless hours learning after his first class, then came back to teach others. Michelle balances Forest Service work with active competition shooting. The team attends outside training regularly—Thunder Ranch, CSAT, Rogers Shooting, AR-15 Armorers School.
