Big Red Oak Plantation combines sporting clays, wing shooting, and rifle/pistol ranges into a single venue 60 miles southeast of Atlanta in west central Georgia. The property itself—certified forest with rolling hills, oak and pine timber, native grasses, and Red Oak Creek running the southern boundary—functions as both a shooting facility and hunting habitat.
The plantation has hosted major competitions including:
- •NSCA U.S. Open (2017)
- •NSCA Southeast Regional (2015, 2023)
- •North American FITASC (2015, upcoming 2026)
- •Georgia State Shoot (2013, 2015, 2019, 2022, upcoming 2026)
Three courses are available for public shooting, plus dedicated skeet and trap ranges. Wendell Cherry, a recognized sporting clays champion and shooting instructor, leads the instruction and tournament development program.
Guided hunts include:
