Location details and information

Cherokoe Rose has operated as Georgia's premier sporting clays destination since 1981. In 2020, the resort expanded with its first regulation Helice ring, adding another dimension to its shooting offerings.

The resort spans 124 acres of diverse Georgia terrain—rolling hills, ponds, streams, and scenic views under a canopy of pines and hardwoods. The facilities include:

  • Two sporting clays courses (Blue and Red, ranging in difficulty)
  • Regulation Helice ring
  • Five stand for additional clay shooting
  • Two covered pavilions (newly renovated)
  • Clubhouse with pro shop
  • State-of-the-art equipment

You can walk the courses or rent a golf cart to navigate the property.

35 miles south of Atlanta, near Griffin and McDonough. About 15 minutes from I-75, making it accessible without the Atlanta sprawl. The location balances seclusion with convenience.

Cherokoe Rose hires professional instructors for those wanting to improve. The resort handles corporate retreats, charity fundraisers, and private events—the facilities comfortably accommodate 600+ people with covered pavilions and cooking grills.

New management as of 2020 has brought updated equipment, maintained grounds, and consistently strong customer service.

The combination of challenging courses, scenic beauty, maintained facilities, and professional instruction draws serious clay shooters. It's not a beginner-only range—the Red course is legitimately challenging, and the Helice ring adds sport diversity.
