Homedale Rod and Gun Club operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting hunting and shooting sports while maintaining safe facilities for members. Located off Highway 95 between Marsing and Jordan Valley in Owyhee County, the club brings together shooting enthusiasts committed to firearm safety and outdoor traditions.

The club hosts regular organized shooting events throughout the year:

  • 50/50 Shoots - Second Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. ($5 per shoot)
  • Trap Shoots - Third Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. ($15 per person for 5 events)
  • Specialty Events - Turkey shoots (November), buddy shoots, and distance competitions (10 @ 27 yards)

Competitive categories include Unlimited, Varmint, and Sporter rifle classes, plus 16-yard singles, doubles, and 27-yard trap shooting.

"We work closely with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the NRA to ensure that hunting and shooting sports will be carried safely into the future for generations to come."

The club maintains an active Hunter Education program as part of its core mission. All members must also be NRA members.

If you haven't paid dues in 2+ years, attend a club meeting for reinstatement and pay new-member fees ($110).

The club enforces strict safety protocols:

  • No shooting glass targets or targets on berms
  • No center-fire rifles on the handgun range
  • Warning lights required when downrange
  • No alcohol or drug use at the range
  • Children must be strictly supervised
  • Members responsible for guest conduct
  • No explosive targets
  • Full release of liability required for all participants
