Full description and what we offer
Located about 9 miles from I-84 (Exit 57) up East Highland Valley Road off Idaho 21, this free public archery range is the first of its kind in the region. Built through collaboration between Idaho Fish and Game, Back Country Hunters and Anglers, the Idaho State Bowhunters, Treasure Valley Bowhunters, Idaho Traditional Bowhunters, and the City of Boise.
The mile-long range features 20 different 3D animal targets positioned in realistic hunting environments—downhill shots, uphill climbs, targets hidden in brush, and natural terrain variations. Each target represents wildlife you'd actually encounter in Idaho wilderness.
"The cool thing about this course is that the targets are all assembled in realistic hunting-type shots where it's downhill, uphill, in the bushes, all different types of environments." — Chris Melink, local archer
