Mountain Home Air Force Base Archery Range

Archery Range - Mountain Home AFB is an on-base archery facility offering eligible military patrons a premier destination for target practice, equipment tuning, and recreational shooting in Mountain Home, Idaho.

This dedicated archery range provides a comprehensive setup for archers of all skill levels. Whether you're a competitive shooter, hunter preparing for the season, or recreational archer, the range accommodates various shooting disciplines and practice goals.

• •Hanging bag targets spanning 10 to 60+ yards for standard target practice
• •Broadhead tuning targets specifically designed for hunters preparing equipment
• •3D animal targets available select days throughout the month for realistic hunting simulation

The facility operates during daylight hours (days, evenings, and weekends) with convenient key-coded gate access for pass holders. This flexible scheduling allows active duty, reserve, retirees, and eligible family members to practice on their preferred schedule.

Access requires an archery range pass, available through Outdoor Recreation for individual and family options with various time lengths. Passes provide unlimited access during daylight hours once obtained.

The range is equipment-neutral—users must supply their own bows, arrows, broadheads, and all personal gear. This allows archers to practice with their actual hunting or competition equipment in realistic conditions.
