Full description and what we offer
Alpha Training & Biometric Solutions is a veteran-owned operation in Tinley Park that teaches Illinois concealed carry courses built from the ground up by federal law enforcement officers. This isn't a factory-line certification; their instructors understand use of force principles because they've used them.
Their 16-hour concealed carry class covers:
- •Basic firearms safety and shooting concepts
- •Advanced shooting techniques
- •Illinois Concealed Carry Act requirements (the legal specifics matter)
- •Illinois Use of Force Act (knowing the law is half the job)
- •What happens before, during, and after a defensive shooting encounter
- •Mandatory firearms qualification on their range
They also run a 3-hour renewal class for people whose permits are expiring, and a 1.5-hour kids firearms safety class (coming soon).
- •Classroom: Climate-controlled space with ergonomic chairs, large HD monitors, and work surfaces set up for collaboration. Plenty of room to move around and interact with instructors.
- •Range: Individual climate-controlled shooting lanes for all skill levels. Designed for responsible firearm handling and actual marksmanship practice, not just checking boxes.
They handle fingerprinting for multiple purposes:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Concealed Carry | CCL applications |
| Physician licensing | State medical boards |
| Early Education | Childcare certifications |
| Nursing | RN/LPN licensing |
| Cannabis | Adult-use and medical licensure |
| CCL Instructor | Becoming an instructor |
| State Licensure | IDFPR and other state boards |
| PERC | Law enforcement background checks |
| Uniform Conviction Information Act (UCIA) | Criminal history access |
You can schedule appointments to fit your schedule, and they handle all aspects of your background screening so you don't have to.
All classes are booked through their website with specific dates and times. Prices range from $35 to $169 depending on the course length and what's included.
Alpha Training & Biometric Solutions recognizes that people learn differently. Rather than one-size-fits-all instruction, they've built their training around diverse learning styles. Their goal isn't just to hand you a certificate—it's to create relationships with students and encourage a lifestyle of properly trained and educated concealed carry holders.
The business was developed by federal and state trained firearms instructors who understand both the tactical side and the legal responsibilities of carrying concealed in Illinois.
