Precision Point Armory is a firearms training operation in Bethalto, Illinois (Madison County) run by Ben Julian. The focus is straightforward: safe, personalized instruction that builds real confidence—not intimidation. Whether you're handling a handgun for the first time or refining advanced techniques, training is built on fundamentals, safe habits, and decision-making under stress.

Ben Julian holds multiple active certifications:

• •USCCA Certified Instructor — Qualified to teach concealed carry, home defense fundamentals, firearm safety, handgun operation, situational awareness, and responsible ownership
• •Defensive Shooting Fundamentals (DSF) — Specialized instruction in defensive accuracy, shot placement, drawing under stress, threat response, and body mechanics
• •Safe Dry Fire Training Instructor — Expert in no-ammo safety procedures, grip, stance, sights, trigger control, and at-home dry fire practice
• •Home Security Preparedness Certificate — Trained in assessing vulnerabilities, layered security, deterrence, detection, and emergency family planning
• •Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification — Authorized to supervise firing lines and manage emergency situations
• •Stop the Bleed Certification — Tourniquet use, wound packing, and trauma stabilization

The Precision Point Armory range is an L-shaped private facility available exclusively for scheduled classes, one-on-one instruction, and member training. Range equipment includes:

• •Six adjustable paper target positions (variable distance)
• •Four AR500 steel silhouette targets
• •Texas Star rotating steel system
• •Quick Draw reactive target
• •Elite Swinger timed-movement target

The setup supports fundamental marksmanship, speed drills, defensive shooting techniques, and scenario-based training. Ben also accommodates students at multiple indoor ranges in the St. Louis Metro-East area during adverse weather.

All training follows strict safety protocols:

1. Firearm Safety Fundamentals — Treat every gun as loaded; finger off trigger until ready; muzzle downrange always; verify targets and backstops 2. Range Conduct — Follow instructor commands immediately; no handling when anyone is downrange; eye and ear protection required; firearms unloaded until instructed 3. Ammunition & Firearms — Only instructor-approved ammo; no steel-core, armor-piercing, or tracer rounds; all firearms subject to inspection; must be legal in Illinois 4. Range Procedures — Stay in assigned lanes; wait for verbal command before going downrange; immediate cease-fire on command; safe muzzle awareness during all handling 5. Behavior — Zero drugs or alcohol; no horseplay; minors must have FOID-holding parent/guardian supervision 6. Illinois Legal Requirements — Residents must have valid FOID card; all firearms transported per state law
