STR8 SHOT operates a complete handgun training facility and FFL dealer split between two Illinois locations—training courses at their Mazon facility and firearms sales in Marseilles.
Pistol courses run over two days: - Day 1: NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (full day, 8 am start) - Day 2: Carry Legal In Illinois (concealed carry certification)
They also offer NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting—an 8-10 hour course covering shotgun fundamentals and introduction to trap shooting. You'll shoot at least 25 rounds at clay pigeons. Bring your own shotgun or use their 20 gauge (ammo purchase required if using theirs).
Recertification training runs 3 hours—scheduled in January and February for those renewing permits.
