Maxon Shooters Supplies in Des Plaines, Illinois, is a full-service gun shop with brightly lit, modern classrooms and an attached indoor range, plus in-house ammo, accessories, and repair services. Rental guns are available for customers who don't own a suitable firearm. The shop also provides FFL dealer transfers, gunsmithing, gun storage, and appraisal, trade-in, and consignment services.
Maxon runs Illinois concealed carry classes at multiple lengths alongside a full slate of pistol courses (basic training, holster skills, one-handed shooting), rifle courses built around the AR-15 platform, and shotgun training. Its concealed carry qualification shoot uses a B-27 silhouette target fired from 5, 7, and 10 yards, requiring hits within the target's outer ring to pass. Additional services include CPR/AED certification, FOID and carry license application assistance, and a program through The Well Armed Woman.
