Jerry C. Johnson carries on a gunsmithing tradition started by his grandfather, Charles C. Johnson, a riflesmith of wide renown in the 1930s. His father, a mechanical engineer, continued the craft building precision target pistols. Jerry himself is a third-generation competitive shooter, trained toolmaker, and licensed gunsmith since 1980. He retired from 48 years in precision shops in 2023 to focus full-time on gunsmithing.
