Full description and what we offer
2 Gun Sergeants operates at 729 Cleveland Road in Colona, Illinois, under the Bi-State Sportsman's Club. Mike and Shane are certified firearms instructors by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) and certified by the Illinois State Police to teach concealed carry. They've been teaching since October 2013—literally when Illinois concealed carry first became legal.
"Just completed the Illinois CCW class and am very happy I decided on these two instructors. Extremely laid back yet extremely informative and safety oriented class."
"You guys have given me the confidence that I can now safely and responsibly carry a gun for self protection. I feel the real life examples and how you guys broke down the laws really made everything clear."
"These are two of the most fun people to do this with! Makes you feel very comfortable in the learning and shooting part of the course."
Repeated feedback: Students praise the relaxed atmosphere paired with serious instruction. Law enforcement background means real-world examples, not textbook scenarios. Even complete beginners report improved accuracy and confidence.

If you can't do back-to-back days, arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis to split Day 1 and Day 2 on different dates with instructor approval.
Both Mike and Shane have law enforcement experience. Their teaching style reflects that—professional, safety-focused, but without the stuffiness. Students consistently mention how their real-world experience enriches the classroom discussion and range instruction. They guarantee you'll improve in just a few hours, and their track record backs it up.
