Dustin Friday started Chubby Fella's Firearm Academy in 2020 after spending years watching 5+ million Americans buy their first firearms yearly—many with no formal training. He moved his family to Iowa specifically to build this community resource.
Friday brings legitimate credentials: NRA-certified Range Safety Officer, Basic Pistol instructor, CCW instructor, and Shotgun instructor. His background started at age five with his father teaching him gun safety in rural Illinois, then hardened through Marine service where he realized plenty of Americans had never held a firearm. He believes in "a well-armed society is a polite society" and put his money where his mouth is by building a training operation.
