Full description and what we offer
The Iowa State Trapshooting Association (ISTA) manages registered trapshooting for Iowa. If you live in Iowa and shoot ATA-registered targets in-state—including Big 50s and registered league—you need an ISTA membership.
Membership Requirements - Annual adult membership: $20 (required for anyone shooting ATA registered targets in Iowa) - Youth/SCTP membership: $5 - Life membership: $200 - All memberships renew September 1 annually

ISTa runs shoots at 10+ locations across Iowa from March through October:

Individuals must shoot 400 championship targets at the Iowa State Shoot to qualify for state teams
Minimum registered targets required for state team selection: - Top 12 Elite: 2,000 singles, 2,000 handicap, 1,500 doubles - Women/Veterans/Junior/Sub-Jr: 1,500 singles, 1,000 handicap - Rookie of the Year: 1,000 singles, 1,000 handicap
The ISTA Hall of Fame recognizes shooters who've distinguished themselves at state and Grand American competition levels.
Home grounds located near Cedar Falls off US Highway 218 (north of Cedar Falls on Hwy 218, then west on County Hwy C-57 at the corner of C-57 and Waverly Road).
Reservations for camping and vending MUST be made in advance by mail with payment—no phone reservations accepted.
ISTa operates with a board of directors and maintains an active membership talents survey to connect members' businesses and skills with association needs.
