Full description and what we offer
Jones Creek Outfitters guides trophy whitetail hunts on private farmland in southern Iowa, focusing on Zone 4 and Zone 5—areas known for producing large, genetically superior deer. The operation targets free-roaming whitetails in open country with timber cover and excellent food sources. Iowa deer grow large quickly thanks to regional genetics and agricultural food sources, and their guides know the specific areas where hunters have the best shot at harvestable trophy bucks.
All guided hunts run 5 days and include: - Lodging in a 1600 square foot cabin (clean, dry, comfortable with showers) - All meals - Trophy hunting opportunity on private ground - Professional guide service
| Hunt Type | Season Dates | Method |

Guides use multiple stand types depending on location and conditions: box blinds, tree stands, and ground blinds. Each setup is chosen to maximize your opportunity at mature whitetails. Hunts occur in both open country and timber, with guides reading sign and placing hunters where they see the most activity.
Jones Creek Outfitters has access to multiple private farms across their hunting zones. You're hunting legitimate trophy whitetail habitat—not high-fence operations. The farms provide: - Free-roaming deer with natural genetics - Diverse timber for cover - Agricultural food sources that make Iowa deer grow large - Tracked animals via trail cameras (visible in their photo galleries)
Out-of-state hunters: You must draw an Iowa deer tag through the Iowa DNR. Apply online at gooutdoorsiowa.com or call 1-800-367-1188 between May-June. The drawing happens in June. Tags cannot be purchased—only drawn. Jones Creek Outfitters can assist with the application process.
Booking Process: - $1,000 deposit to secure your dates - Balance due upon arrival - First come, first served availability - Limited spots each season
Beyond whitetail deer, the outfitter offers: - Turkey hunting (April-May spring season with mature birds) - Pheasant hunting (opportunities available) - Waterfowl hunting

"You're not guaranteed a trophy whitetail, but you have the opportunity to harvest the biggest whitetail you've ever taken." — Jones Creek Outfitters
Jones Creek Outfitters focuses on fair-chase hunting with no pen-raised animals. Their guides have targeted specific areas in Iowa where they believe hunters have the best odds. They've built a track record of consistently harvesting trophy-class whitetails each season, visible in their extensive photo galleries showing results from both typical and non-typical bucks.
