The Gun Camp delivers comprehensive firearms training focused on earning your Illinois Concealed Carry License. Their 16-hour course runs over two days and covers the legal, technical, and defensive knowledge you need to carry responsibly.
You'll get instruction across three major areas:
Firearms Fundamentals - Pistol safety and handling - Sight alignment, trigger control, grip, and stance - Loading, reloading, and malfunction clearing - Drawing from the holster
Illinois Law & Situational Knowledge - Concealed carry regulations specific to Illinois - When you can legally use your firearm - Police interactions and your rights - Home defense law
Beyond the Gun - Physical and verbal de-escalation techniques - Physical self-defense without a firearm - Less-lethal weapon options - Range safety protocols

Your Certificate of Completion satisfies the classroom requirement for your Illinois CCL application. The course fills up fast—early registration recommended.
You'll need a government-issued ID on course day. Bring your own pistol if you have one; call ahead if you need recommendations on what to use. Cell phones are not permitted during instruction.
Classes run multiple weekends throughout the month. The no-refund policy applies, but you can reschedule once if needed. If you're sick on course day, stay home—no refund available.
