Kansas is a draw state. If you don't get drawn, your deposit rolls to the next year plus you get $300 off your hunt. In the last four years, all hunters got drawn.
The property consists of river bottoms and farmland with crops including corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and hardwood timber. This diversity creates natural travel corridors for trophy bucks.
Hunting is primarily stand hunting. The operation maintains around 40 fully enclosed shooting towers with heaters and numerous comfortable tree stands positioned in travel and bedding areas. Stands overlook planted food plots and baited areas.
Whitetail: Hunters take P&Y and B&C class bucks consistently. The operation focuses on 130+ class deer with a $1,000 inferior buck fee for anything under 130.
Turkey: 90% success rate over the past 10 years on Rio birds. 100% success rate in 2021. Many turkeys make the Kansas book.
Youth Hunts: 100% success rate in the last three years. Youth hunts run early September when bucks are grouped together.
"I have been hunting with Kansas Big Buck Outfitters for 10 years for whitetail and turkeys. They make you feel at home and like family the moment you arrive. The hunting lodge is like no other, and their hunting is like no other. I have killed a 195, 161, 167, 169, and with them a lot of Rio turkeys." — John, North Carolina
Kansas Big Buck Outfitters also operates a lodge in Canada for black bear, moose, and whitetail hunts. After successful youth kills, the operation offers some of the best fishing in the area.
