Marcus Seirer opened The Rusty Trigger in Clay Center after six years running a shop in Longford alongside his full-time work. Word spread across Kansas—customers from Colby, Goodland, Wichita, and Kansas City made the drive—so he committed to a brick-and-mortar location at 429 Court Street.
This isn't just a gun shop. Seirer built the archery range specifically to draw in people who may not be firearms-focused and give kids a place to learn and shoot.
Seirer collects and restores older firearms. He loves the craftsmanship of vintage guns and enjoys cleaning them up to give them new life. That passion for classic firearms is where The Rusty Trigger gets its name.
| Days | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday–Friday | 10am–6pm |
| Saturday | 8am–3pm |
Seirer notes hours are flexible if customers need something different.
He plans to expand the archery equipment selection and continue growing the business beyond basic retail into a community gathering spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
