Instructor courses include weapon nomenclature, fundamentals of marksmanship, shooting positions, precision shooting, positions of cover, reloading and malfunction drills, transition to secondary weapons, multiple threat engagement, and distance shooting. All courses emphasize muscle memory and shooting on the move.
Students must arrive proficient with their weapon system and ready to perform at tempo. The facility doesn't serve as a basic remedial course—instructors expect participants to know how to load, unload, reload safely, and handle muzzle discipline before day one.
Physical fitness is a direct factor in learning outcomes. Students need the strength and stamina to manipulate and fire weapons during prolonged drilling in all weather conditions, plus the ability to move between standing, kneeling, and prone positions.
Instructor-level students must score a minimum 80% on qualification courses. Three attempts are allowed; additional qualification is at lead instructor discretion.
Courses require substantial ammunition:
Students bring duty/SWAT gear, ballistic vests, magazines or speed loaders, slings, eye/ear protection, and weapon cleaning kits.
