Full description and what we offer
Scattered Acres Outfitting LLC is a family-owned hunting outfitter run by Robert and Sheila Rogge in Washington County, North Central Kansas—just outside Palmer and Linn, about an hour from Manhattan Regional Airport. The operation specializes in fully guided hunts for pheasant, whitetail deer, and turkey across thousands of acres of private land and controlled shooting areas (CSAs).
Pheasant hunts include guide and dog service on wild birds, CSA hunts, or combination packages. Options range from quick day hunts ($320-$375/hunter) to multi-day lodging packages ($650-$675/hunter). They also offer European-style tower shoots with birds released 100 feet in the air and specialty late-season CSA hunts in February using $27.50 permits instead of full hunting licenses.
Pheasant Hunt Pricing: - Combo Hunt (wild AM/CSA PM): $375/day or $675/night with lodging - CSA Hunt: $320/day or $650/night with lodging - European Tower Shoots: $125-$335/hunter (5-15 birds) - Extra birds: $25/pheasant or $18/chukar
Scattered Acres books only a small number of deer hunters per season to minimize pressure and maximize quality. They offer separate archery-only properties plus rifle and muzzleloader hunts. Kansas is a draw state for whitetail, and hunters apply through the state for Unit 8 tags (where Scattered Acres operates). The property has been managed for quality deer hunting for over a decade.
Deer Hunt Pricing: - 7-Day Archery Hunt: $3,500/hunter - 7-Day Rifle/Muzzleloader Hunt: $3,800/hunter - Late Season Firearm Hunt (December): $4,500/hunter - Youth under 17: $1,500
Rio Grande, Eastern, and Hybrid turkey hunts. The property sits on the border of all three subspecies territory, so hunters can theoretically work toward a Grand Slam in one trip. Limited hunters per season keeps pressure low.
Pheasant-and-fishing combinations, deer-and-pheasant multi-day packages, and corporate retreat hunts. All combo packages include 4-7 days, lodging, and meals. Pricing available by quote.

Sheila and Robert Rogge grew up in the area where Scattered Acres now operates—Sheila's childhood farm is less than half a mile from the main lodge. Both were taught to hunt, fish, and trap by their fathers and now run the outfitting business to share that experience with others. The company explicitly welcomes youth and women hunters and emphasizes family hunting trips and group memories.
