Palo Alto Rifle & Pistol Club

Located on the west side of the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish near Donaldsonville, Palo Alto Rifle & Pistol Club is a members-only shooting facility built around serious precision rifle and pistol competition.

The club features multiple ranges designed for different disciplines:

• •100 and 200 yard rifle ranges with covered slabs and concrete shooting benches
• •600 yard range with elevating targets, pits, and covered firing points at 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards
• •50 yard pistol/multi-use range
• •25 yard multi-use range (uncovered)
• •Seven dedicated 25 yard pistol bays for competitions

Matches run consistently throughout the month across different disciplines:

They also host U.S.P.S.A. Cajun Action Shooters, Steel Challenge (Lafourche Speed Shooters), I.C.O.R.E. Revolver matches, and CMP Service and Rimfire Pistol 900 Aggregate competitions.

Membership Costs: - Yearly fee: $225 - One-time initiation: $100

Applications must be submitted by end of March for the upcoming year. New members attend a mandatory orientation meeting in April. There's a waiting list, so early applications are encouraged.
