Swl a Rifle and Pistol

Southwest Louisiana Rifle & Pistol Club operates as a private NRA-affiliated shooting facility located at 5720 Old Camp Road in Holmwood, about 30 minutes from Lake Charles. The club hosts a full calendar of competitive matches including steel matches, action pistol competitions, bullseye matches, and rifle events.

The club runs regular competitions throughout 2026:

• •Steel Matches - Monthly events at the New Bay
• •Action Pistol Matches - Quarterly competitions on the handgun side
• •Bullseye Matches - Traditional precision pistol events
• •Rifle Matches - Sanctioned competitions for centerfire rifles
• •Regional & State Events - Hosts larger competitions like the Crawfish State and Regional Action Pistol Matches (April 24-25)

The club is affiliated with both the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program. New members attend a club meeting (first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm), complete an application, and pay initiation fees plus pro-rated dues.

Club meetings: 7:00 pm Tuesdays at Westlake Recreation Center, 1221 Sampson Street
